India A Choose to Bowl First
India A made the right call by bowling first on Day 1 of the first unofficial Test against South Africa A in Bengaluru. The home bowlers struck early and often, putting the visitors under pressure from the start.
South Africa A Struggle to Build Partnerships
The South African batters found it difficult to settle in against a disciplined Indian bowling attack. Tanush Kotian led from the front with two important wickets, while Manav Suthar and other bowlers kept things tight. Regular breakthroughs meant South Africa A could not build any long partnerships.
By stumps, the visitors were five wickets down and struggling to post a strong first-innings total. A few batsmen remained unbeaten, trying to steady the innings, but India A clearly held the upper hand.
Kotian Leads Indian Bowling Attack
Kotian’s control and ability to vary his pace troubled the South African batsmen throughout the day. The rest of the bowling unit complemented him well, maintaining pressure from both ends. Their accuracy and discipline ensured South Africa A never got away.
With young talents like Sai Sudharsan and Ayush Mhatre in the side, India A will look to continue their momentum into Day 2. For South Africa A, skipper Marques Ackermann will expect his middle order to fight back and push the total to something more competitive.
The opening day firmly belonged to India A, who showed patience, teamwork, and smart bowling in helpful conditions.
