In the first innings, India A had posted 255 runs, thanks mainly to wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel, who played an unbeaten knock to rescue the team from early trouble. South Africa A replied with 221, giving the home side a slender 34-run lead. But the visitors’ bowlers once again struck early in the second innings, putting India A under pressure.

South Africa A’s pacers were disciplined with their line and length, while the spinners maintained tight control from the other end. Still, Rahul’s determined stand helped India A edge ahead. His calm approach against both pace and spin was a clear example of his experience and class.
Concerns for India A
However, the biggest concern for India A remains their top-order form. Across both innings, the opening and middle-order batters have struggled to settle in or convert starts. The team will need stronger partnerships if they aim to set a big target and push for victory on the final days.

For South Africa A, a few quick wickets early on Day 4 could swing the match back in their favour. Their bowlers have shown fight and will look to finish the Indian innings cheaply to keep the contest alive.
