Henry Ends 36-Year Wait To Join Bumrah At Test Summit
In the Test bowling rankings, New Zealand’s Matt Henry produced a career-defining performance to rise to the No. 1 spot, sharing the position with India’s Jasprit Bumrah. The 34-year-old took five wickets in each innings, finishing with an 11-wicket match haul, as New Zealand thrashed England by 253 runs in the second Test to level their three-match World Test Championship series 1-1.
Henry becomes only the third New Zealand bowler in history to hold the top Test ranking, joining Jack Cowie, who achieved the feat in 1947, and Richard Hadlee, who held the position between 1984 and 1990.
